The music selected in Sleeping Portraits album was composed and recorded between 2018-2022 in my home studio in Shanghai. The structure and layering is simple but still colorful.Sound design from generative modular synthesizers patching, sampling of acoustic instruments, field recordings. Sound come like the sunshine rippling on the water, and grow slowly, naturally like a tree. I found an ancient soul but a seed-like spirit inside. We sat under the tree and listened to the sound of those wind chimes. People come and go, but there is always a place waiting for us, like a big hug.
